As is becoming our yearly tradition, we celebrated the 4
th of July at Jamie and Melanie's house. We did the festive thing and wore red, white, and blue. We grilled hamburgers and let the boys have fun playing in the kiddie pool. Jake and Ethan have a blast together, so it's always nice to let them play. After dinner, we walked down the sidewalk in their neighborhood to watch fireworks. Jamie and Melanie's neighbors shoot real fireworks in their backyards! I am talking about the big ones, too! We enjoyed them, but Ethan thought they were too loud. He was okay as long as Jason was holding him. By the end of the fireworks, both Ethan and Elaina were asleep. I'm still not sure how they were able to drowned out the loud booms to go to sleep, but I guess they were exhausted!
